About Paula

My career started in education, where I spent over a decade teaching, coaching, and leading pastoral care across New Zealand and the UK. As a PE teacher and sports coach, I saw it every day, the brain left untrained will almost always drift towards doubt.

When people don’t have the skills to manage their mindset, those small moments of hesitation can quickly snowball into negative thinking, poor decisions, and self-sabotage. Over time, confidence erodes and when that happens, it doesn’t just impact performance. It filters into how people lead, how they work, how they show up in life.

And it’s not just a ‘sports thing’ or a ‘school thing.’ It’s a human thing.

I saw the same patterns in business, in leadership teams, and in high-performing professionals. Different environment, same story: the people who stay stuck are usually the ones who’ve never been taught how to actually train their mindset.

That’s what pulled me into the work I do now. I coach people and organisations who want to shift how they think, how they lead, and how they back themselves, people who’ve reached a pivotal point in their journey knowing something needs to change.

Sport will always be part of how I see the world. The way athletes train their minds to handle pressure, push through setbacks, and keep moving is exactly what I help people develop in their careers and leadership.  Confidence isn’t a switch, it’s a skill. One you can build, strengthen, and trust.

My coaching helps people get unstuck, find their mental edge, and move forward with real, sustainable momentum and energy.
